Carol Singing

Tuesday, 28 December 2010

Year 6 entertained the residents of Lyndon Hall nursing home to a repertoire of Christmas Carols just before the end of term.
Following a long walk through the rain and snow we arrived to a very warm home and sang to two different groups of people who really appreciated our efforts. The visit helped develop links between the school and wider community and spread the message of good cheer and love at Christmas. The singing, maturity and efforts of the class were outstanding and commented on by both the staff and residents of Lyndon Hall. In the true spirit of Christmas the children bought gifts for the senior citizens and were given gifts of their own to take back to school. The visit rounded off a range of Christmas celebrations in school which have included a nativity performance by Key Stage One, Carol concert by Key Stage 2 and whole school Mass led by our new Parish priests Fr Ugo and Fr Erasmus. Look at the pictures – can you spot Mrs Finnegan and Mrs cresswell in full voice. If only simon Cowell had have been there.
