Fundraising for Sandwell Hospital

Wednesday, 17 December 2014

Today we went to Sandwell Hospital to give them the DVDs and computer games that we had purchased for them from the £200 that we raised when we held our carol singing event at school.

They were really grateful and thanked us and asked us to pass on their thanks to everyone involved.

A big thank you to Mrs Carter who purchased the goods from a list the Hospital had sent us.

Saturday, 13 December 2014

Once again our end of Key Stage Two SATs results are outstanding. Our children have made exceptional progress and worked really hard to achieve great results. We are very proud of them.

This week we featured in the Express and Star for our excellent results.

Year 6 DT

Saturday, 13 December 2014

This week year 6 have been creating fairground rides. They all work by turning a switch and due to the circuit and pulley systems that the children have created they spin around like real rides.

The children have given their ride a theme, name and price too.

On Friday we held an exhibition to show off our work to families and friends. Everyone was really impressed!

Girls’ Football

Saturday, 13 December 2014

Well done to our girls’ football team who came 3rd out of all of the primary schools in Sandwell. We qualified from our area heats in first place and then played against five other schools on finals night this week at Wood Green Academy.

The girls made a slow start losing the first two games despite dominating play and having the better chances. However we rallied and went on to win our next 3 matches.

Overall we finished 3rd so came home with bronze medals. Player of the tournament went to Andrea Templo for her tough tackling and the 3 important goals that she scored. Well done Andrea!

Well done to our Year 6 basketball team who played tonight and were runners-up in the West Bromwich schools tournament played at George Salter Secondary School.

The team played really well and all enjoyed their first ever basketball match.

Well done to the whole squad who came home with silver medals.
