Tuesday, 22 November 2016

Year 5 went to a Life Exhibition held at St James’ Church in Hilltop. It was a really interesting event. The class watched videos about the life of Jesus, took part in interactive games and saw a light show! We each got an iPad to answer questions about Jesus and watched videos about his miracles and Parables.

KS2 Citizenship – Autumn 2

Sunday, 6 November 2016

This half-term, KS2 will be learning all about E-SAFETY.

In our first lesson we talked about what makes a good friend and how we can be kind to others online. We decided on what would be the sensible thing to do if we were made to feel upset or uncomfortable when online, either on a games console or a website.

We were then given different scenarios and had to create role-plays to show what we would do. Years 5 and 6 had the extra challenge of having to create their role plays for a younger audience in order to educate them.

We all did really well and we know ¬†that we would tell a trusted adult, block any hurtful messages and never respond to anything we don’t feel happy with.
