St John Bosco Day!

Tuesday, 31 January 2017

On Tuesday 31st January, the whole school celebrated St John Bosco’s feast day. We came to school wearing our school colours.

We started the day with a special liturgy based on the life and work of this great man. The children went to a different class to celebrate with a new teacher.

For lunch we had a special treat cooked for us by Karen and Debbie.

After lunch, we had an assembly hosted by year 3. Year 3 told the story of St John Bosco and explained why we are so lucky to be in a school named after this special person. Mrs Briscoe also announced the winners of the school prayer competetion! Well done to Tyrekh, Zuzanna, Efe and Lucy!

Back in our classes, we spent the afternoons taking part in fun activities based around vocations and St John Bosco and at the end of the day we visited a different class to showcase what we had done!

Food Raffle!

Friday, 27 January 2017

We had some food very kindly donated to school from the West Bromwich Albion Foundation and so we decided to create three food hampers and raffle them off.

The teachers pulled three lucky winners out of a hat and they were:

Isabelle, Y3

Owen, Y3

Okeame, Reception

We hope these children and their families enjoy their tasty treat!

On Friday Y6 held an exhibition to show off the fairground rides that they had made in DT. They are very proud of their work and they impressed everyone who came to have a look.
