SEN Primary School Christmas Festival

Friday, 15 December 2017

Six children from KS1 and KS2 took part in the annual SEN Primary School Christmas Festival at the Portway Leisure Centre. The children took part in activities such as “Volley Snowballing”, where we had to keep the biggest snowball off the ground (with great difficulty). There was a penalty shoot-out, a skateboarding challenge, where even the teachers had a race. We had great fun and you can see from the photos that the children had a great time. We even got to meet Father Christmas in his own ice igloo. Well done to all children for a fantastic team effort! We look forward to the next festival at Easter.

Christmas Fayre

Friday, 15 December 2017

We have had a lovely time at the Christmas Fayre.

Thank you to everyone who helped ensure it was a fantastic day. A huge thank you to Mrs Bhalla who works at Barclays Bank and has done a fund match so they will kindly double whatever money we make. This means we have extra funds to spend on new resources for the children.

Girls’ Indoor 5-a-side Football

Thursday, 7 December 2017

We entered an invitational local competition at Wood Green Academy in their large sports hall. For the first two matches our girls were excellent and played some of their best football of the season, winning 2-0 and 3-0. However, we didn’t quite perform to the same level in our final match and despite a penalty save, we went down 1-0. Overall though, a pleasing evening of football. We took away the runners-up medals and this now means that all 16 members of our football squad have won at least 1 medal each already this season. Keep up the good work girls!

Bosco girls represent Sandwell

Saturday, 2 December 2017

Our girls’ football team played in a West Midlands tournament this morning and represented the district having won the Sandwell schools competition last month.

We played really well but unfortunately missed out on progressing through to the semi-finals on goal difference. Again, we were defensively superb as we did not concede a goal or lose a game.

Well done girls!

Thanks to Mrs Grubham and Mr Ellicott for taking the children and giving up their Saturday morning.

Thank you to all of our parents and children for the kind donations of toys and tinned food which will be given to Brushstrokes which is a charity that supports homeless people.

Brushstrokes will be giving the toys to children as Christmas presents.
