Christmas Concert at Holy Cross

Friday, 21 December 2018

Well done to all the children who took part in the final Christmas concert at Holy Cross. The children did a fantastic job of remembering their parts and they sang beautifully to the hymns. The brass band played superbly to many Christmas songs and they involved us in a jingle bells challenge, which we all enjoyed.

Thank you to all those who came to support St John Bosco pupils! We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Carol Concert

Thursday, 20 December 2018

The children in classes: 3, 4, 5 and 6 performed their carol concert to the younger children. They did a brilliant job at remembering their parts and coming up to the front at the right time. Class 1 and 2 sang along with some of the hymns and gave the performance a thumbs up. Well done to all the children! Good luck for the final performance later this evening.

Sandwell Safeguarding Champions

Tuesday, 18 December 2018

Four children from Year 5 attended a ceremony to celebrate their training in becoming a Sandwell Safeguarding Champion. The children received a certificate from the Mayor and were praised for their peer to peer monitoring. Well done to all the involved. They will be on duty at playtime should any child have a concern or worry that they wish to discuss with them. They have had specialised training in how to deal with issues that arise in school and at home, so please feel free to speak to any member of the safeguarding team if you need someone to talk to.

Before the ceremony began – exciting!

The event was held at West Bromwich Town Hall, our parents were invited too.

Here we are receiving our certificates from the Mayor.

So proud to be part of Sandwell Safeguarding Champions!
