Rememberance Day

On Rememberance Day we held a service to think about and pray all those people who have died during war.
In classes we also wrote prayers and poems as well as making poppies.
Here is one of the fantastic poems that were written:

In Flander’s field where the poppies blow,
Near to the crosses in each row,
On the 11th month, 11th hour and 11th day,
Everyone stands and has a prayer to say.
The Queen comes out to show her respect,
Everyone comes out to pray and reflect.

We are proud of our soldiers who come and fight,
They all work hard day and night.
That’s why we wear a poppy today,
To remember the brave that passed away.

We think of the families that have lost their loved ones,
We remember them by singing songs.
We wear a poppy on our shirt,
To remember the soldiers that have been hurt.
