Dear Kristian

We are writing to you to thank you for coming to our school on Monday. As members of Year Six at St John Bosco Catholic Primary School, we are extremely appreciative of your visit: we thoroughly enjoyed your presence.

Your gymnastic demonstration was supreme. The highlight for us was when you launched yourself over six people into a spectacular forward roll for which we would like to commend you – you beat your record! Furthermore, we are very grateful to you for showing us your well-earned bronze medal from London 2012.

The challenge that you set us was a tough one however we believe that we rose to the occasion. We all successfully completed the tasks thanks to your guidance and encouragement. Remarkably, some pupils in our class managed to raise over £60 on their own therefore we are hoping for an impressive final amount. With the money that we have raised, we will purchase new gymnastic equipment so that we can try to emulate your incredible skills.

Thank you for introducing us to gymnastics. Due to your visit, we have been inspired to try a wider variety of sports. You taught us many things: to dream big, to believe in ourselves and that nothing is impossible. Thank you for the courage and advice that you gave us; we will remember and use those lessons not only in sport but in everyday life too (particularly in difficult or challenging times).

We will try to live our lives by your words, “Dream big and never say that you can’t.”

Finally, thank you for spending the afternoon at our school. We know that you are a very busy man due to your university commitments although we would be delighted if you ever had the time to come back and see us again. You are more than welcome to make an appearance at our Sports Day in July – we would be honoured if you attended (Tuesday 10th July at 9am).

Thank you once again.

Yours sincerely

Class Six
