Our lads travelled over to Northfield for two more league games on Friday. We are in the top league this year, so the standard is high. Going into these games we had won 1, drawn 1 and lost 1. We made a strong start to our first game and were 1-0 up at half time thanks to Mati. They pressed hard in the second half and scored a good equaliser, but we kicked on again and went 2-1 up through a well worked corner. Unfortunately, in the last few seconds they had a great shot, which Zynan saved well but it dropped to their player for a tap in. A draw overall was a good, fair result though.

Our second game was equally as exciting. Again, we were 1-0 up at half time, but then quickly 2-1 down as we switched off early in the second half. Cayden’s second of the game made it 2-2 with not long to go but again we suffered a late goal against us, this time losing 3-2.

Two good performances overall though and the boys can be proud of themselves. The laces this week go to Cayden who took a few knocks but battled on without complaining, scoring two good goals as well.
