St John Bosco Catholic Primary School

The Roman Empire had taken over Bosco! Today, the children had a unique insight into life in Roman Britain. A Roman soldier in full armour, known as Lucius Felix Silvanus, spoke to the children about life as a gladiator, displayed his weaponry and demonstrated the equipment used. The children were led through a soldiers’ drill and a mock barbarian battle. Lucius also spent time to describe the food he ate, the way he bathed and taken time to play some Roman games.

After a week of hard-work, Lucius Felix Silvanus treated the children to co-hosting the congrats assembly!
