It was a fantastic day out for 45 of our children from KS2 at the impressive Abbey Stadium athletics track in Redditch. Boys and girls from year 3 through to year 6 competed in various events including sprints, long distance running, throwing and long jump. Then to end the day there were relays for the boys and girls in each year group. The weather was kind to us and the atmosphere was excellent as so many children were there, all cheering each other on.
We were by far the smallest school in attendance but our children performed brilliantly throughout the day. There were several highlights including Sania winning gold in the long distance race, coming through from third place with an excellent sprint finish; and the year 3 girls relay team who were superb, winning by at least 20m! Indeed, most of our relay teams won medals and ran well. Special individual mentions must go to both Esinam and Maja who incredibly won 3 medals each! Also to Natalie, Grace and Sania who each won two gold medals.
A big well done to the whole squad. The cheering for Bosco was loud, the togetherness of the squad was fantastic and everyone gave all they had in their events. Thank you to Mrs Carter, Mrs Patel and Mrs Brierley for accompanying the group. It was a great day!
