St John Bosco Catholic Primary School

Despite the cold and rain as well at times, our girls had a fantastic evening playing lots of tag rugby in a big festival over at Kings Norton RFC. We had a more experienced side playing for the Cup award and a much younger group with several newer players competing for the Plate. Our Cup side were very consistent throughout the festival. Their attacking play was complimented by several other teachers and we didn’t lose a game. With 4 wins and 2 draws we came second overall and won gold medals and the Runners-Up Shield.

Not to be outdone, our Plate side were playing great rugby as well, performing brilliantly and with good confidence too considering their lack of previous matches. They managed two wins, two draws and one defeat which was also good enough for second place with more gold medals and another trophy for the school!

The girls all had an amazing time and I’m sure we’ll see them back playing rugby again soon. Well done everyone and thanks to Mrs Slade who came along and managed one of the teams too.
