St John Bosco Catholic Primary School

It was a very closely contested game between two good sides as we ended with a 2-2 draw against Cape. We were slow to get going in the first half and despite having almost all of the possession, we didn’t really look like scoring. Cape were dangerous on the break and indeed scored a good goal to go 1-0 up. The second half was a different story. We played some excellent football. We were sharper and stronger in the tackle. Midway through the second half we had turned it around to lead 2-1, with two goals by Grace – the second brilliantly assisted by Maisie. Unfortunately, with the game almost done, we conceded a break-away goal to draw the match.

Well done to the girls for their second half performance. Three of our girls (Oliwia, Riya and Avleen) played their first game for the school today and did well. We now look forward to our remaining league games. Thanks to Mrs Slade and several parents and family members for supporting us today too.
