St John Bosco Catholic Primary School

We were delighted to welcome the BBC cameras to Bosco in order to film class 6 about a new initiative we’ve signed up to – The Rainbow Hour. The idea is to spend an hour a day on average focusing on wellbeing. This can be physical, mental or emotional and includes activities such as PE, circle time, art and for us, gardening.

During lockdown, the class 6 bubble instigated a project to improve our garden area, wanting us to do our bit to protect the planet and environment. Their great work has continued and the new eco-house building takes pride of place in the garden too. The children really enjoy maintaining the garden and ensuring that we keep our school clean and eco-friendly.

The children were fantastic in front of the cameras, conducting themselves very professionally and interviewing with great confidence. Here is the link to the full news report, which was shown on BBC Midlands Today:
