St John Bosco Catholic Primary School

A group of 12 pupils from Year 5 spent a fantastic day on Thursday 21st October representing our school at the Black Country Games at the University of Wolverhampton Walsall Campus.

During the morning the group took part in three 45 minute sessions, firstly in boxing where they were coached by World Champion Rachel Ball who shared her world championship belts with the children, they then went to the judo dojo where several senses who showed them how to throw and fall effectively and safely and finally had a basketball session lead by former England and Birmingham Bullets player Clive Allen.

The afternoon saw the children take part in a circuit of 14 different activities including: frisbee golf, yoga, cricket, circus skills netball and scootering to name just a few. At various points of the day the pupils were joined by Birmingham Commonwealth Games Mascot Perry.

Everyone had an amazing day and behaviour and commitment was absolutely brilliant. What a great end to the half term!
