St John Bosco Catholic Primary School

Wow – what a wonderful way to end the Term!

It started with a beautiful Mass celebrated by Father Josephat and led by Year 4. The holy theme continued throughout the day where all children created their own ‘Prayer Box’. There were some lovely creative ideas, prayer dice, prayer stones, painted suncatcher crosses, individual prayers for family members, prayers offered for saints, such a wide range of prayer activities to complement the individual prayer boxes. It was lovely to hear the comments from the children as they were so excited to create their own prayer box.

Then we finished the term with our final assemblies as we continued our journey through Holy Week. Year 5 led with the events of Good Friday and Y6 took us on the journey of the Stations of the Cross. A fitting and holy ending to our term as we start our Easter break. Well done to all children and staff – what a wonderful day!

Each child had the opportunity to take home their individual prayer box so that it can be used to support family prayer life. Please send in photos of children using the box and prayer items to support their prayer life at home. We can’t wait to see them.

Please feel free to add items to your boxes and look out for more activities from teachers to add to the prayer boxes throughout the year.

A happy and Holy Easter to all our families.
