Visit to Wasps Rugby

Sunday, 21 January 2018

We took a mini-bus load, plus several extra cars over to the Ricoh Arena in Coventry to watch a big European Champions Cup rugby game between Wasps and Ulster. It was a good atmosphere and entertaining game with Wasps winning 26-7. Before and after the game we visited the fan village, getting faces painted and trying a few rugby activities. We also got several photos and autographs with the Ulster players. Well done to everyone who was there because the behaviour was excellent and thanks to all the staff and parents who helped out.

Girls’ Premier League Primary Stars Football

Friday, 12 January 2018

Our girls played in a 12 team tournament in the WBA Dome on Wednesday. It was a long day and we played 10 matches in total! In the morning we safely qualified from our group with two good wins and three draws. Then in the afternoon we remained unbeaten and reached the semi-final, defeating Lyng 1-0. The final against Hargate was very close with neither team looking like scoring as the girls became tired. Unfortunately, we went down 1-0 to a last minute penalty. A huge well done to all of our girls though who played really well throughout the day and did brilliantly to reach the final.
