Today, as part of our Faith-filled Friday, the children spent the afternoon learning about the festival of light, Diwali. All classes focused on a different aspect of Diwali and then showcased their work, cooking and research. They made necklaces/jewellery, diva lamps, diva lamp holders, researched different types of mitai (a special sweet treat enjoyed on Diwali) – they even made and tasted their own and finally a class created colourful rangolis. It was lovely to have parents attend the assembly and see their children’s hard work.
