St John Bosco Catholic Primary School

Y3 visited Holy Cross Catholic Church on Tuesday and they learnt all about Catholicism. We began the trip by learning a bit more about what it means to be Catholic. We learnt about the structure of Mass and the importance behind the readings and prayers. Father Sylvester then talked to us in more depth about the body and blood of Jesus Christ, linking perfectly with preparing to receive the Sacrament of Holy Communion which some of the Y3 children will be receiving later on in the year. We then had a look around the church and discussed the importance of some of the rooms, sections, artwork and statues in the church. We had such an amazing time and we loved deepening our understanding of Catholicism. A big thank you to Father Sylvester for taking time out of his day to guide us.
