St John Bosco Wow Moments

St John Bosco v St Joseph & Theresa’s

Mr Mobberley and Miss Ellicott took two teams along to Chasetown in God’s own county of Staffordshire to play against St Joseph & St Theresa’s School (who are also outstanding just like ourselves)

Miss Ellicott took charge of the younger team who played brilliantly and won 7 – 0. At the time of writing this I’m not sure of the scorers or details but the team comprised of :- Kamil, Nolahan, Elliot H, Elliot B, Jamie, James, Dylan, Alfie and Abbie. A great result well done.

The Year 6 team took on their opponents and opened the scoring through Sandeep. This goal was soon equalized and then the opponents went ahead. Mitchell scorede to level the scores before a J & T free kick went through the wall to make the score 3 – 2 at half time.

The second half began and the score was still the same after 18 minutes. By this time the younger players and Miss Ellicott’s game had finished and they were watching and offering their support.┬áThis must have played a part when Mitchell scored a late equalizer.

3 – 3 would have been a fair score but with 10 seconds remaining St John Bosco gained a corner and all of the team except goalkeeper Megan packed the area and the ball fell to Mitchell at the far post and he swung his foot at it to score a late late winner and complete his hat-trick.

Team: Liam, Cain H, Connor, Justin, Megan, Luke, Sandeep, Mitchell, Ethan.

I normally take a team photo for these match reports but completely forgot. However, for those old enough to remember it, Mitchell’s final goal was very similar to the one Man Utd scored against Bayern Munich in Barcelona both in it’s timing and style – so a photo of Ole it is!
